| Anzac Day ( 25 April ) is a national day of commemoration in both Australia and New Zealand when we remember all those who died in war. So great were the losses at Gallipoli an later on the Western Front during World War I, they impacted heavily on our relatively small populations. Gallipoli, in particular , helped shape both nations and it thereforre holds a special place, even today in the minds of most Australias and New Zealanders . As a result , increasing numbers of visitors from both countries come to Gallipoli Peninsula each year to remember those who died during the Gallipoli campaign of 1915. | ||||||||||||
